Jean Odom, CPA
Idea Sounding Board and Operations Support
Hi, I’m Jean!
Mom of Two. Wife. Daughter. Scrapbooker. List Maker. Vegetarian. Chronic Reorganizer. Avid Reader. Crafter. Lifetime Learner. Technology Nerd. Louisburg, NC since birth.
A 1993 graduate of Vance-Granville Community College, I began my journey in the field of public accounting in June 1993. I became a licensed CPA in August 1997. In my 25+ years of experience, I have been involved in almost every aspect of accounting and taxation, including individual and business tax preparation, tax planning, retirement plan accounting and administration, financial reporting, business daily operations and accounting software implementation.
I truly enjoy working with small businesses and individuals, and helping them succeed through a greater understanding of the accounting issues they are faced with. I fiercely believe everyone should have the opportunity to succeed.
I like big books, purple hair, cool shoes, sunshine and hot peppermint tea, but not coffee. When I’m not at my desk, you can usually find me jamming to music in the minivan with our kids. Home is my happy place. Family is everything.
I believe there is one rule in life: Be Kind. All other rules are just subsets of that.
